BMC Helix Anomaly Detection Service

3+ CREDITS

This service configures metric-based anomaly detection policies to automatically identify deviations from expected behavior across infrastructure, applications, and services.

What you get:

BMC Helix will perform the following:

This service delivers a complete, production-ready setup of anomaly detection across your monitored environment, including:

  • Conduct a Discovery Workshop to transfer knowledge of BMC Helix AIOps and machine learning capabilities related to this use case and gather specific customer requirements.
  • Configure a maximum of 10 ML-based alarm policies (static or baseline thresholds) and a maximum of 3 variate policies (dynamic thresholds over time) for selected entities in Helix Operations Management in order to receive anomaly notifications.
  • Configure Anomaly Detection Settings to help accurately identify unusual paterns and potential issues (example: the CPU utilization of a Linux host violates the metric baseline and deviation values continuously for 10 minutes)
  • Validate and visualize the Total Anomalies data in the BMC Helix Out-of-the-Box Dashboards
  • Knowledge transfer for operations teams on interpreting anomaly patterns and tuning thresholds

Customer will be responsible for:

  • Providing access to Helix Operations Management and Helix AIOps tenants with appropriate roles
  • Have clear requirements / use cases for anomalous behavior
  • Provide clear requirements and participate in the workshop to do analysis of the requirements and proposed solutions
  • Ensuring data ingestion from monitored sources (metrics, logs, services) is operational
  • Identifying critical services or components for anomaly coverage
  • Participating in validation workshops and reviewing detection outcomes
  • Supporting configuration changes in production, if required
