The BMC Helix User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Service helps customer complete end-to-end UAT with fast defect triage, fix, and retest support ahead of go-live.

What you get:

BMC Helix will perform the following:

The BMC Helix Project Manager will collaborate with the Customer’s Project Manager to conduct the following UAT activities for up to 5 Business Days:

   UAT Readiness

  • Confirm UAT scope, entry/exit criteria, and sign-off stakeholders
  • Validate UAT environment readiness (access, roles, key configs, integrations required for UAT)
  • Establish defect intake, severity model, and triage workflow
  • Prepare/refine UAT test pack for ITSM and Digital Workplace critical scenarios

  Assisted UAT Execution

  • UAT office hours (tester support, unblockers, Q&A)
    • Defect intake, reproduction, and classification (configuration, data, integration,  product defect)
  • Route defects to appropriate resolver teams
  • Coordinate retest and validate closure

  Governance & Reporting

  • Daily/weekly status reporting
  • Readiness checkpoints and go/no-go support
  • UAT sign-off pack with results, open items, risks/workarounds

Customer will be responsible for:

  • Provide UAT lead, business testers, and sign-off authorities
  • Provide UAT environment access, test users, and required integrations enabled for testing
  • Provide business rules/expected outcomes and timely decisions on priority and acceptance
  • Provide resolver capacity for fixes (administrators and integration owners)
  • Day-to-day engagement leadership, with BMC Helix Project Manager support

Deliverables: Using BMC Helix standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

  • Weekly Status Report

Completion Criteria: BMC Helix will have completed the Service when either of the following first occurs:

  • the in-scope Service have been completed, and the Deliverables are provided to the Customer Project Manager, or
  • the allotted Business Days are fully utilized. 

Pre-requisites:

  • Customer identifies sponsor and stakeholders
  • Implementation scope and timeline confirmed
  • Customer availability for governance sessions

Definitions:

Country-Specific Staffing: Upon Customer’s request and BMC Helix resource availability, BMC Helix will deviate from BMC Helix Standard Delivery model. BMC Helix will work with Customer to understand and address their country-specific staffing requirements. The staffing choice from which country a BMC Helix resource comes from will be mutually agreed to by BMC Helix and Customer.

Standard Delivery: A mix of BMC Helix consultants and project managers sourced from various BMC Helix locations.

Out of scope:

  • Net-new feature design/build identified during UAT (beyond minor configuration tweaks)
  • Major catalog redesign or new request workflows not already in implementation scope
  • New integrations or significant integration development
  • Performance/load testing 
  • Formal training program (UAT support is not end-user training)
